PASTORAL SERVICES: Marriage Counseling

Last revised: March 7, 2008 4:15 PM

"Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up...Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A rope made of three cords is hard to break."

~Ecclesiates 4:9 (TEV)

Worldwide Marriage Encounter

Stress-Proof your family! Go on a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend! Marriage Encounter is 44 hours where married couples can get away from jobs, kids, chores and phones and focus only on each other. If you'd like greater depth, growth, and enrichment in your relationship, you'll like the difference a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend can make!

Weekends will fill up quickly, so a prompt response is encouraged. For more information or to register contact Bill & Carol Higgins at (248) 528-2512 or birdhaus@wideopenwest.com or Dan & Debbie Waring at (586) 286-5524 or dwaring@talkamerica.net. Visit www.rc.net/detroit/wwme on the web for current events.

National Marriage Encounter

Take time "Two-Gether." National Marriage Encounter is a weekend experience of re-discovery and renewal. Using safe and loving communication methods, couples reflect and dialogue in private to make their good marriages even better. While our weekends include the opportunity to attend Mass and participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, couples of all denominations are welcome. For more information, please call Rich & Fran Walden at (586) 838-4447 or email us at waldenluv@wowway.com or visit our website at www.national-marriage-encounter.org for current events.

Retrouvaille - It Saved Our Marriage

The word retrouvaille means "rediscovery."
Couples with troubled marriages that have taken part in a Retrouvaille Weekend - even those originally on the verge of divorce, confirm that they found a new and life-giving marriage relationship through the gift of this weekend. You will not be asked to share any details of your marriage, and personal prayer support is available but never forced. Retrouvaille is highly recommended by the Archdiocese. Call (313) 237-6052 or visit www.retrouvaille.org for current events.
